Litigator
After law school Bob joined the Beaumont law firm of MehaffyWeber, where he built a strong practice litigating complex cases. He tried more than 50 cases to verdict and successfully argued numerous cases before the Texas Supreme Court and the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals. In the early 1990s, Bob began doing mediation; by 2000, it was his sole focus.
Mediator
Extensive knowledge of the law together with his unusual ability to relate
to people make him well suited for the work. His thoughtful listening and
ability to develop new approaches enable him to lead others toward resolution
of strong differences without rancor. When appointed as mediator for 30,000+
asbestos claims he was charged to complete the task in one year. Extremely
analytical and efficient, he met the deadline with a creative approach.
